This is a very common problem, usually caused by house settling, door warping, hardware replacement, weather stripping, temperature variation, or door towel hooks. And, because existing strike plates are screwed into a chiseled recess in the door frame, they can be difficult and messy to repair. Do-it-yourself fixes often require lots of time and thought, not to mention the purchase of tools. And handymen can run $40-60 dollars for door latch repair.
Introducing to the public, as of September 2014, the GATOR Strike Plate.
The GATOR Strike Plate replaces your old strike plate and is designed to gives your door latch the space needed in just the right places. No guesswork required, and no messes to clean up.
With this product, virtually anyone can get that door "clicking" again. Just remove the old plate and install the GATOR Strike Plate. All you need is a screwdriver and a couple minutes … making the job simple, and saving you TIME and MONEY.
And it is available in Satin Nickel, Polished Brass, Antique Brass, and Oil Rubbed Bronze.
The GATOR Strike Plate was invented and first sold in 2014. 20% of net profits go to charity.
