These professional grade low voltage transformers use clamp-type terminal blocks - an exclusive VOLT innovation - for connections that are fast, easy and extremely secure. No tools are required; simply insert stripped wires, then clamp them in place.
Toroidal Core
This transformer's toroidal core allows for more reliable, efficient, cooler and quieter operation than comparable EI laminated types. It's also superior to electronic transformers, which may not be compatible with LED circuits, suffer from extensive voltage loss, and are subject to overheating and premature failure.
This reliable, easy-to-use control unit requires no programming. Simply plug the unit into the transformer and turn the dial to one of the settings, which include ON, OFF, Dusk-to-Dawn, and 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours after dusk.
A low voltage transformer is at the heart of every landscape lighting system. It converts 120V current to a low voltage current between 12-15 VAC. The efficiency of this conversion determines how well the transformer controls the voltage output and how much energy is consumed in the process.
