Black Oxide
Bosch black oxide drill bits for general purpose drilling offer a solution for every professional application and last up to 50 percent longer than high-speed steel bits. A split point offers fast, easy starts on contact with no walking or skating, eliminating the need for a center punch. Each bit is manufactured to exacting specifications and features a speed helix design that delivers 3x faster drilling than standard bits. Typical materials for drilling with Bosch black oxide bits include stainless steel, wood and PVC. The line’s expansive selection includes jobber length, stubby length, extended length (aircraft) and 1/2" reduced shank (Silver and Deming).
Titanium
The Bosch line of titanium drill bits offers a speed helix design for greater drilling speed and reduced heat for up to 2x life versus high-speed steel bits. A split point offers easy starts. Bosch titanium bits are surface hardened to penetrate tough materials without skating. A balanced, low-friction double-flute design eliminates chatter and vibration for clean, accurate holes in thin materials (up to 1/8"). Typical materials for titanium drilling include steel, stainless steel, wood and PVC. Bosch titanium drill bits are available in jobber lengths with a 3/8" reduced shank.
