What bed surface and temperature work best for ABS adhesion?
Use a PEI sheet with ABS slurry and set the bed to 90–100°C. Adding a raft or brim, or slowing the first layer, further improves bed adhesion.
Should I run the cooling fan during an ABS print?
Keep the cooling fan off for maximum strength and to reduce warping. If surface quality is the priority, a low fan setting is an option instead.
What should I do if my ABS filament has absorbed moisture?
Dry the filament at 70°C for approximately 6 hours before printing. The filament ships vacuum-sealed with desiccant to help prevent moisture uptake.
