The ring groove supports use with retaining rings, the smooth walls support use with friction rings, and the through hole supports use with retaining pins. All of our 3/4 inch drive sockets, extensions, adapters, and reducers are made out of 4140 steel and have a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate coating.
