These are #14 diameter (1/4" / 6.3mm) self-drilling screws with a 3/4" (19mm) length. This OEM-spec fits standard residential #1, #2, and #3 hinges, top roller fixtures, and bottom corner brackets perfectly.
Why is carbon steel better than stainless steel for self-drilling screws?
Stainless steel is too soft to drill through steel plates; its tip would burn out or dull. Our hardened carbon steel self-drilling point has the extreme hardness to drill cleanly through hinges and metal panels.
How do I avoid stripping out the metal sheet panel when driving these screws in?
Avoid stripping: Use variable drill speed/clutch. Drill high speed with firm pressure to pierce metal. Reduce speed as threads bite. Stop instantly when the head is flush. Do not over-torque or spin after seating to protect thin metal.
